This work was already world-renowned in the field of historical research, being one of the oldest surviving texts, not only for its historical importance but also for its cultural value, since it allows the study of everything from the earliest written polyphonies, which represent a true treasure for scholars of medieval music, to the popular customs of the regions and peoples through which the Path It traverses. This scientific value was already known to researchers worldwide, and they kept all that knowledge hidden from the general public. Its disappearance has sparked a global explosion of curiosity, as media outlets in every country have echoed this dramatic news. It's true that each outlet has emphasized the issue by focusing on more "populist" aspects, calling into question the security of the artworks. We won't be the ones to assess that issue, as we are aware that the number of works to be preserved is enormous, and we don't believe it's fair to single out only one side. Civil authorities should have been more involved in this matter through agreements and other mechanisms, but that's not the issue we're addressing in this post. What has truly caught our attention is the great curiosity that the disappearance of the CODEX CALIXTINUS o CODEX CALIXTINUS, Filling articles, columns, websites, and more with information about this wonderful book, people have shown interest in it and are rescuing all the information from the archives, making it accessible to a wider audience.
